The purpose of a human beinglibfemme ( 05/27/2005, 00:44:51 )
Human beings do not need a purpose. They are their own justification for living.A clone of a human being is another human being. Therefore all clones, whether spontaneously created, i.e. identical twins, or induced such as reproductive cloning, are human beings. The nature of one's conception and birth is not what determines one's species, nor one's worth.People who want a clone, want a baby. Yes, it would be a human being. All babies are. It would have the same purpose every babies has, specifically that question is repugnant when referring to human beings.I do not live for the sake of anyone else. No free person does. One does not need to be useful to someone else, to society, to religion, the state, etc. in order to have the right to live. In the US we have even framed it into our most cherished national documents.."the right to life, liberty and happiness".
