:*) ( 05/13/2004, 07:00:03 )

First, the relavance of God is important. Chicago philosopher and director of the Institute for Philosophical Research, Mortimer Adler, agrees, "More consequences for though and action follow the affirmation or denail of God than from answeing any other basic question." Socrates said, "The unexamined life is not worth living," and Philosopher Elton Trueblood says, "If we refuse to discuss the existence of God we are simply avoiding the central issue, in that it can yeild definite results." Even atheistic Oxford philosopher agrees: "The question whether there is or is not a god can and should be rewarding, in that it can yeild definite results."
