Re: why should/shouldn't cloning be legal?1000yrsfromnow ( 09/20/2004, 15:46:30 )hi back to ya, i am a scientist, of sorts, but my basic interest is biology and humanist, in my terms. i get a lot of flack because i don't believe in the theories of evolution as in from suborder primates or creation as in the biblical sense. sure we may have evolved intellectually as our genetic cycle comes back around again, and as for the biblical explaination of creation, i'm sorry i just find it hard to fathom that we were created from dust and water. my idea is that religion was created for the good of mankind, and the biblical idea of creation was only a ploy to cover up reality, as an illusion to the truth. some persons are able to believe that a supernatural being created us from nothing, to have that kind of power, yet find it rediculous that we(our original ancestors) may have been colonized here eons ago as basic idiots of our real past. and the idea of religion was created to keep us from reverting back to self destruction, they weren't counting on our genetic intelligence coming full circle as with each new generation it becomes obvious with our own accomplishments, hey we are able to clone ourselves now, we have the power to bring the dead back to life, giving sight back to the legally blind, transplanting borrowed organs from a dead person to spare the life of a dying person, soon we will be able with stem cell manipulation and cloning to produce vital organs from our own body chemistry eliminating rejection of and not taking pills to keep rejection from happening, from what i understand creating limbs(arm/legs) for children born with defects, or caused from accidental severings may be able to walk someday instead of watching other children from a window. yes i guess i'm a scientist of life in a different context from the standard human programming. peace , j.c. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
