Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: My objection to Christainity

libfemme ( 12/30/2004, 08:22:16 )

Anmyways, just thought this might help you with understanding that it isn't always like that in all ChristianityAh, well this presents me with a problem doesn't it? If christians are so diverse in their description of God how can I. lowly human that I am, be certain that any particular christian I meet in the parking lot truly knows God?Since God,unfortunately, has not manifest himself to me personally, I must rely on the word of his faithful as to his intentions, or so they tell me. But how can I be certain which christian is telling me the truth and which has been seduced by satan?I would hate to make a mistake. My very soul is a risk in this. If I choose unwisely God will send me to hell.Since men are fallible how can I be certain that their mission is not fallible? I suppose I could go to the primary source myself and check. But what is the primary source? The bible? The bible tells me contradictory things. Which passages am I to follow and which ones am I to ignore? Again I risk eternal damnation if I choose wrong.I have no doubt that you have found a group of people whose company you enjoy, that they provide you with support and comraderie. I am sure that it fills a personal need you have and I would never deny you that comfort. But is the niceness of the congregation a valid test of the truthfulness of their interpretation of God's design? Wouldn't satan make his followers pleasant and comforting also? What is your test for the truth?
