Something that various people at various time independent of you can test and come up with the same answer.You make a hypothesis of how you think the world works. Then you come up with a consequence that would logically follow it that hypothesis were true. Then you go out and see if it works.I grant you that the length of a unit is a cultural phenonomen. However, if you describe a second and another person independently of you can measure a second that same way then time is real. Otherwise the trains wouldn't run on time. And you would never know when a tv show was on. Time exists because I can measure it independently of you and come up with the same answer.
