Re: ethical issues of cloningalternate ( 02/01/2005, 11:01:27 )Ah well you see everyone does have an opinion and ANY human who becomes a dictator would force his opinion through the power he has, that includes you and it includes me.You may think your opinions on right or wrong are correct, but many will disagree, if you're a dictator none of that matters as those who try to be revolutionary (they cannot do it any other way as you have destroyed democracy) would have to be killed, you may be hesitant at first but they are becoming a severe problem to your fans and those who idolise your opinion and you do not want to let them down, if you’re a dictator then you’re in charge till you die, the power will most likely go to your head especially if you take your problems in your personal life out on your "enemy".No one man should ever have total control, but it goes to show that right and wrong are simply what an individual perceives as right or wrong, this has a lot to do with upbringing. There will never be world peace, we will never manage to control climate change and the destruction of both the human race and earth is (with current trends) inevitable, you can delay but you’ll never stop it.Unless you had a dictator who decides to get rid of the world’s technology and put us back to the dark ages, destroy to re-create, have everyone living off of the land, growing their own vegetables milking their own cows, hard going for a while but its hard to destroy the past, so eventually it'll go back as it was.Again you can delay but you cannot stop it.A solution requires emigration or death camps in each country to cut off a half of the population, you then need to destroy all technology and history of technology, you have to destroy information of the past, burn all of the book's then dictate one book only for everyone to follow (not the bible) a book which will in time become a religion which will convince people that technology is evil, it leads to population growth from people living longer, it leads to transport allowing immigration making already densely populated areas exponentially more populated if there is no control, it allows third world country’s to become westernised, thereby increasing pollution from their use of cars, it destroys culture and civilisation in other areas by handing tribes AK47's, It created the atom bomb and the hydrogen bomb and every explosive and weapon in existence. It has increased background radiation, people are living longer in an age of technology, multiculturalism and immigration but at the cost that when everyone becomes old their standard of life decreases. Its a known fact that country’s with lower populations have a better standard of living, I live in the second most densely populated island: the UK, the UK is eight times as densely populated as America and 70 times as densely populated as Canada, in America population growth may be ok even if it went eight fold, but in Britain just 10 million more would cause serious issues, considering we have a serious flaw in immigration policy over here we may end up where the immigrants exceed natural birth death ratios for balance, the balance is ok that’s why population of Britain has never much exceeded 55-60 million, however with immigration it’ll eventually exceed 70 million without taking into account of people living longer, although standards of living get reduced, wages never go up, and cheap labour for those outside the UK seems like riches from where they come from. It boosts the economy while making us essentially poorer, living in smaller houses/apartments that cost huge amounts for first time buyers and our wages becoming a pittance to stealth taxes and interest rates. It is true that killing off half the population will make the other half live better, but technology is the cause of the population increases along with immigration, and you’d not have immigration without technology, its all a cycle, and as we spread our civilisation and democracy elsewhere we increase their economies so they match our own, if the whole world was like Britain and America pollution would be hundred fold and standard of living would reduce as more people are using even more oil, food and resources.Cloning people wouldn’t help either but it wouldn’t be of direct consequence, it’s beneficial to us today but most technology may be a detriment to our children’s children along with over liberal politics. But then that’s wrong, to kill half the population, to take away history, to take away the civilisation we have built, to reduce life spans by removing technology.Humans cannot do right without doing wrong, you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs, the key is to not to throw the eggs out of the window before using them to make an omelette.Unfortunatly i think we have cornered ourselves, and one day when food just is not there wars (possibly nuclear) will break out as resources get tight,it'll be about territory and fighting over resources.Id not worry, the nuclear bomb or severe conventional warfare will sort the world out, however it will not be selective and mechanical,it'll just be "hes got something we need to live".Nature has a way of sorting itself out, however natures politics is far more severe than Hitler or any "evil" dictator, when you consider that a flu virus alone killed 50 million people once, or the recent tsunami killing over a quarter of a million people, natural instinct and the forces of nature are very deadly and very black hearted, we expect more from humans but we are made from these very things, thats what people tend to forget. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
