Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Cloning and prooving evolution

I_KNOW_WHOM_TO_CLONE ( 03/02/2005, 16:55:59 )

I had an idea how to proove evolution once and for all i most obvious way with most obvious results.Idea is to take one specimen of some specie (e.g. mouse) with perfectly healthy genom. You make one male and one female version of that individual mouse (genetical engeneering and cloning come in because you must take a cell from a mouse modify it (XY to XX (female) chromosome) and clone it to create a oposite sex of that exact individual. How do you proove evolution with this? Well... it's quite obvious what I'm aiming at. Having both sexes of identical individuals with perfectly healthy genes you can have reproduction of that pair and have practicaly unlimited number of generations that SHOULD have the exact same genes. You let them live isolated from other mice, but keep different groups living under different conditions. If they start to look differently (IF THEIR GENOM CHANGES) that directly means that evolution ocurred (because - how else could they differ in their genom).Further more, to make things even more obvious - instead of mice use humans - use same principals. That way you could practicaly have a small nation of exact same individuals of both sexes. Some of the most obvious features are color of the skin and face configurations. If they start to differ after a few generations (different groups live in different parts of world - different climate, way of living, food etc.) then it means that evolution did its job...Simple.
