Would you be a better parent if you raised yourself?

Would you be a better parent if you raised yourself?  You would know your medical history in advance.  You would probably know what foods you would like and wouldn't like.  You would probably know what your talents and interests would be.  In effect, your clone would be a child that came with an instruction manuel.

Perhaps more important than anything else, you could be sure that your clone was raised in a better environment than you were.  What if you sufferred through a terrible life?  Why not see to it that your clone has a better one?  Why not see to it that your clone benefits much more from its environment than you ever did?  Why not teach your clone everthing you found to be important in your lifetime?
