"Therapeutic" cloning involves creating an embryonic stem cell culture using Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT) from a very early preimplantation embryo (blastocyst). One should know that more than 50% of these formed during normal reproduction never even implant in the womb. Here is a page at Advanced Cell Technology describing the concept:

In "Reproductive" cloning, the blastocyst resulting from a SCNT procedure is given an opportunity to implant in a womans womb and develop into a child. Here are some other links:
