Argument against cloning

Underlying this argument, JUST barely beneath the surface, is a throw-back to times when humans were ignorant of exactly what caused conception, and pregnancy, and the eventual birth of a baby.

That is the only foot upon which this argument stands.

Because humans DO in fact cause conception by their own actions --- whether through molestation, incest, rape, adultery, "fornication," deception or insinuation that one will marry the partner, or other consensual sex, such as within marriage vows.

To the contrary of these omninous prophecies, I have not seen or heard of one test-tube baby who turned out "bad." This is not to say it could not happen, but on the contrary when a child is truly wanted (instead of being some mishap of rape or such), they more often than not turn out very well, later on in life.

We need to realize that there are some people who prioritize things like life-long monogamy. Maybe this is because of not wanting to spread disease. Maybe it is to preserve a heritage from their ancestors based in monogamy. But for these people, sometimes cloning is a way for them to have progeny of their own, without violating their principles regarding monogamy, in a day when it no longer seems to matter much to many people.

And yes, unfortunately, too often even it is especially religious people are the ones who no longer value monogamy, as they change partners with every new religious fad, which tells them their current partner is not holy enough for them. (Or maybe it just insinuates to them their non-conformist partner is somehow "less than perfect," thereby planting in their minds a sort of "seed thought" through which later on in life they will end up dumping that partner, years later, after the thought grows into a tree.)

We need to think about these things, instead of just being blinded by these powers-that-be which are dictating and prescribing to us all of our thoughts, through the media and any other "avenues" they can get their hands on.

Because as human beings, we cannot afford to have our values and ethics and thoughts dictated to us, and especially not by those who care only about where their own gain is going to fit in at the expense of everyone else.

We allow fornication and adultery in this world, and likewise we should allow cloning, for those who do not want to participate in this current-day, disease-infested orgy that is out there.
