also, since cloning can be used to CURE 99% of DISEASES AND PROVIDE IMMORTALITY (see post of that title, below, about five screens down), ....
....then cloning would put the giant drug conglomerates out of business. they employ many thousands, and as said before , when unemployed, they will also swell the ranks of shiftless rabble.
Immortality, if not managed properly, will give us overpopulation...a horrible prospect.
so cloning must be stopped if we are all to die on schedule , at around eighty or so. Immortality is a really creepy idea in itself, is it not? Death seems so natural, so normal.(LOL)
