some say that war is good, that it spurs scientific research spending, culls out the weak, puts aggressor nations on top, fuels the economy, etc ad nauseum.
Now, cloning will give all equal ability...so no hi school pecking order, no bullies, no school shootings, in short, in hi sch and later in society at large, very little causes left for violence...or war.
Since cloning can end most wars, it will ( in the view of militarists) end scientific progress and leave the economy to stagnate. without war, we will all become less masculine and thus football will disappear from television, along with shouting car-salesmen commercials.
war currently is the employ of half of our scientists and engineers. without war, they will become drifters, urinating in the alleys of our downtowns and grabbing our sleeves for 'spare change".
