There is a new book out which, although not specifically about cloning, stresses reproductive rights for all. The author, an anthropologist, understands that many people have a desire to raise children that are related to them, and that this is natural and right, and something that we should all be doing more of. Here is some information about the book:
What if the laws of evolution and natural selection were consciously applied to our society? What
would happen? Would we end up with chaos and stress? Or would things be better? What would
it mean for our legal system and for the application of justice? What would be the ultimate
crimes? Would right and wrong be different? Good and bad? How has culture waylaid our
ultimate success?
What would this approach mean for our adopted children, and even our pets? How would society
change? Would we be more fulfilled? These questions and more are addressed in a new book
entitled POPULAR EVOLUTION: LIFE-LESSONS FROM ANTHROPOLOGY, by Joseph L.
Popp.
Drawing on his own years of field work and the work of others, Joseph Popp takes a look into
many areas of society, applies his evolutionary ethic to all aspects, and shows how this would
affect the way we live and work. Popp considers such contemporary topics as overpopulation,
vegetarianism, suicide, crime and punishment, teenage sex, parent-child relationships - in short,
the issues that concern us most- and shows why they are rarely resolved by our current modes of
analysis. He reconsiders them all through the laws of evolution and natural selection, and draws
some startling conclusions.
A Harvard-trained anthropologist, Joseph Popp brings the evolutionary ethic to all fields of
human endeavor.
