livelaughlove ( 04/21/2005, 17:55:21 )I am sorry, but the way you phrased the whole doll idea makes your argument sound completely off. A clone would simply be a backup, a way to make ourselves feel better when a loved one dies. People die. Bringing them back to life in a clone will do nothing but destroy the memory of the one who has died. Clones would be treated as objects, as if they weren't real people. They would be "so-and-so's clone." They'd never be able to make their own identity or their own life. Talk about walking in someone's shadow.
