A clone would simply be a backup, a way to make ourselves feel better when a loved one dies. People die. Bringing them back to life in a clone will do nothing but destroy the memory of the one who has died. Clones would be treated as objects, as if they weren't real people. They would be "so-and-so's clone." They'd never be able to make their own identity or their own life.
