Why cloning will always be impossible
dude ( 05/02/2003, 04:10:57 )Simply because it goes against the fundamental principle of reproduction when you need a sperm and egg to grow a person. Cloning simply contradicts this. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT saying that it can't work becuase God doesn't want it to. I'm just saying the technique to clone lacks common sense. The ovum was not designed to grow somatic cells into people. Just because you put a somatic cell(adult donor cell) into a totipotent cell(ovum) isn't going to change the status of the somatic cell.
