Illegal Beings: Human Clones

A lot can be accomplished with a decent understanding.

nateg ( 05/21/2003, 08:55:44 )

I don't know all of your opinions, but why can't we all understand that human cloning is a monumental breakthrough? In such a short while, we have evolved from basic computer-calculators, to the technology that can produce a living clone. Maybe one of you will be a position someday where a loved one needs a transplant from a cloned organ. If you were in this position, I seriously think that you would be pro-cloning.For those of you that are against human cloning for religious reasons, I respect that. I myself, practice Christianity. If you believe life and death is up to God, or your spiritual deity, then maybe they planned for us to have this scientific breakthrough. This follows along the same lines of evolution. Who says that you can't support evolution, and also believe in God? Who says that you can't support human cloning, and also believe in God? I think that human cloning is a way for God to improve our standard of living, and allow us to live a fuller, and more prosperous life on this earth. For those of you that are just con-cloning for no specific reason...You need to think about this. Cloning has many benifits to us. It could bring an infertile couple a child. It could save a person with a failing heart. It could save YOU.If you don't support human cloning, you need to back up, and take a look at the big picture. You need to trust the scientists and allow them to keep cloning under control.I have nothing against using human cloning in situations of dire need, but I am strongly against expirimentation through this type of cloning. If we can all realize the role that human cloning can/will play, it could be a great asset to our lives.
