Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: cloning people

erin ( 06/19/2003, 05:40:21 )

I think you misunderstand my point I was making. I was not by any means saying cloning was a sin and I dont think religion has a thing to do with it. I was trying to express the point that as soon as the clone is born and draws breath it is a human being with feelings. Do you think that a clone deserves the same basic human rights as the rest of us? I do. Mabey I wasnt clear enough when I mentioned that Iwas christian. It wasnt my intention to say it was a sin. We all have our own concept of sin, one example being years ago when pain medication started being used for women in childbirth some christians had duck fits over that because in the bible it says woman shall have pain in childbirth. I beleave God gave humans the intellect to create medicine to help ourselves. I also think cloning may have a place in the world but I want to be sure human rights are NOT violated this has nothing to do with christianity it is just plain human compassion of which you seem lacking if you truly beleave in the end justifies the means.
