Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Is this what we have come to?

omegamog ( 06/03/2003, 10:41:24 )

It just isn’t right, there's, no better way to describe it. It is just the first step in the downfall of mankind. There is no true beneficial reason why we are trying to clone humans, selfish humans; they clone to ease grief, prolong their lives, or just to have a clone. so selfish...Replacing a loved one doesn’t show much love for them, think about it, you're replacing them! Therapeutic cloning... Pah! It’s no better than cannabolizim! You’re stealing the parts of developing humans to add to yourself, barbaric! You might as well pull out your father’s kidney and shove it in yourself while he is sleeping! Afterall developing babies can willingly donate their cells to you.And those idiots who think that making clones of themselves prolongs your life? Does one identical twin really the other? Their lives really are one life? It’s lowering the value of a human life to a mere object! You don own your clone! Do your parents OWN you?Do those scientists know what they are unleashing into this world? Do they only pursue this for fame? Money? And that Clonaid… Raelien FOOLS! Blindly and gleefully skipping into technologies that they completely ignore the consequences. It doesn’t even end there, do you think their cones will clone themselves, and their clones clone again? Even if they did, think what a clone would think, they are already a crime against nature, why just make clones? They would probably genetically engineer their clone descendants, ruining the original's dream of false immortality. And if genetically engineering humans catches on as fast as cloning did, it could corrupt the future of mankind forever! After this where does it end? Artificial neurons with preloaded information? Downloading human brains into robots? The matrix? (lol, but seriously an artificial life does sound like something that the future could hold).
