Illegal Beings: Human Clones

PIGS organs?

darth_olive ( 06/26/2003, 05:15:56 )

Yes they do use pig neural cells in patients with Parkinson's so far with out succes, but they also hope that pig cells will help repair injuries in the spinal cord, heart transplants (only until a human donor is available), pig pancreas to cure diabetes, liver, and kidney transplants. But what i was talking about before was a pig named Goldie which they clonded to no longer have gal over her organs, this makes it less likly for a human to reject the organ. One of the main problems scientists have with this is the risk that pig viruses may "hitchhike" through the organ and end up in a human there fore posing the risk of a new kind of human virus.
