Re: Cloning! Good things and Bad things?darth_olive ( 07/12/2003, 09:23:18 )Good points about cloning- It can save lives, it can do this by have organs created which r the exact same as the origanal organ in the persons body ,which means there is little to no chance of rejection and it also means you dont have to wait for a doner. This can be done in 1 of two ways one way if to create a living breathing clone and then kill it and take the organs, the other way which is the way it will most likely be done is to create either a clone with out a head of with out a brain therefore meaning its not alive or you could create a single organ with no body then just transplant it. This will save millions of lives because at this time the need for organs is great and people wait for years on organ waiting lists, then sometimes when they get the organ their body rejects it. Cloning with a process called genitic modification or GM (commonly used in different crops to make them bigger or bug repelant) could in time bring on a better race. This would be possible because we could creat lots of clones that a basically lab rats then just add different things to there bodies to make them either smarter or stronger or something of the like. Cloning of animals could end hunger because we could in theory create millions of animals that are all of the top breed for very little money, we could also with GM make them bigger too. Cloning of plants like trees could mean an end to lack of trees we could create millions of trees for logging and leave the natural trees alone we could also rebuild the rainforest. The biggest problem with this is if a virus came along it could wipe out all the plants because they are exactly the same and they would all react the same. We could clone endangered animals there fore making them no longer endangered. Could put an end to poaching because if we want ivory we just clone us some elephant tusks. It could also make the zoo business boom because we would no longer need to go catch the animals By the way this is the same thing i posted befor for a person who needed help for the debate team (copy and paste what a great thing) I never heard back about that huh... Well i can only give you reasons for pro because i dont believe that it is bad so i wont be a informative. Hope it helped ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
