It should be no surprise that people who are infertile have trouble having babies. Isn't that what infertile means?Therefore it should not be a surprise that infertile couples have a higher incidence of miscarriages (spontaneous abortions in medical jargon), fetal disorders, malformations and deaths than fertile couples, right?So people who go to fertilty clinics to help them have babies, will have a high incidence of miscarriages, birth disorders, defects and deaths among their children born. If these people didn't have these problems already they wouldn't be going to the fertility doctor to get pregnant in the first place, ritht?So it is particularly galling to hear an August body like the Royal Society jump on the academic vs the private fertility doctor war using the argument that
