Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Cloning dead animals

libfemme ( 09/24/2003, 22:33:51 )

It has been estimated that a hundred species disappear from the earth each day. The question of how to slow this mass extinction is a controversial one. Cloning has been put forward as a possible solution - and one which could even be used to bring back extinct animals. For instance Austrialia is trying to use DNA from the extinct Tasmanian Tiger to bring it back into existence. The Gaur, a wild ox, was cloned a few years ago. The new born died from an infection it caught after it was born that had nothing to do with cloning.Attached is a link to a story about plans to clone the extinct woolly mammoth.
