Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Is Cloning Pro Life?

libfemme ( 09/27/2003, 09:27:24 )

Can you be against cloning if you are pro life? Don't the arguments advanced by anti-cloners directly go against the arguments of those against abortion? It is not cloning the anti-cloners oppose but every medical intervention that prevents or assists reproduction.James Pinkerton has eloquently listed 4 of the arguments of anti-cloners:#1: "Cloned babies will be born with genetic defects" #2: "Life will be destroyed in the process of cloning" #3: "We are playing God #4: "Cloning is eugenicsand along side them included the contradictory arguments of Pro-lifers.
