ladyvirus ( 05/21/2005, 02:38:38 )look longer telomeres don t mean longer life... but if the cell has already done a certain amount of divisions and then has had nucleus transfer in an oocyte, its telomeres are shortened already... actually, when a cell divide, her telomeres are shortened and after a certain period of time ( depending on the specie) , telomeres are too short and chromosomes begin to siel their extremities with each other and the division doesn t occur normally... and we have cancer problems and that s elderly... so that s the pb with dolly .
