ladyvirus ( 05/20/2005, 13:27:05 )hey. dolly died and i think that she may have had a normal death like every other animal. but, as a clone, she comes from an old cell when she was "conceived" as the cell was taken from her mother. at the opposite of the egg cells that are formed at the union of an egg and a sperm, it wasn t a stem cell, actually it has lost some fragments of her chromosomes (the telomeres). so when dolly was born, her cells were old; that means that she will live shorter than he others of her specie.MT Lebanon
