feminist ( 10/14/2003, 14:36:30 )actually, in the lectionary (with the 3-year cycles of the gospels), that passage is usually placed with other scripture dealing with hospitality - not sexuality.one of the main reasons that the Goddess found their behavior so disgusting is because the people were so rude to their guests - the visitors from out of town. that is why lot offered his two daughters - his own flesh and blood to them instead. (of course, as a feminist, i have some issues with that too, but that's another story).
