If you don't already know, the results from the GM trials have come out in the UK. I think it was over 18 months, and oil rape seed, beet and maize were tested. It turned out that the oil seed and beet were damaging to the wildlife, but the maize was fine, and didn't affect the enviroment. So I guess some crops are good for GM and some aren't.
