Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: The Real Clone Wars

john the angry man ( 10/16/2003, 01:11:03 )

My grandmother died quite recently of cancer, but I feel I should adjust to the loss instead of wanting to have her cloned, or having her life extended. People have done so for millenia, havn't they? I'm undecided now but I'll try to shed light on why some people are against cloning. I expect a lot are against the idea of a scientist creating life itself, and I can sort of empathize with them. Some christians are against cloning because they truly believe that there is life after death (I am not saying Erin and others don't believe in God or heaven, but I can't think of another way to say what I just did), and I wish that some pro-cloners wouldn't think of rligious anti-cloners as prehistoric people who are afraid of change just because they believe in their religion. Others might just be paranoid of armies sweeping the world (I know now that it is impractical) and some like Patrick think it will add to the almost inevitable population crisis. As I said earlier, I am now undecided on the matter as Libfemme and others like her are convincing, but so are Pactrick and people with his views. I hope I have helped you in what I think is why some are against cloning humans. Yes I am 13..... John.
