I am the one with the knowledge and the one producing the latest scientific results.I have these results right here sitting in front of me. I know you have the rights to choose and do anything you want in this world because it is your human rights to do so, but i think you are a little misinformed about human cloning. The fact that you said you have the right to extend YOUR life is a little misconception of yours about your understanding on what human cloning really is. They are cloning you using your genes, so yes, in essence this new person will be 'you'. But this other person will not experience the exact same things you've in your life. It is impossible for this other 'you' to encounter the exact same situation and experience life as you have, which ultimately means they would not know and behave exactly the same way as you-this means-this other person is not you!!! His personality would be different because our personalities are built around the things we feel and do and see and the influences we confront and deal with in our life. Do you think this other 'you' would live the exact same life as you have?? I dont think so-so how is it that it is 'you' extending your life??? I mean if you have a distinguishing scare on your forehead or something for instance because you fell over a keg of beer and hit your head on a pole, what are the chances that the cloned 'you' would fall over and hit his head at the exact same place and have the exact same distinguishing scar on your forehead??? The cloned 'you' is another individual and he will think and speak very differently to you. So how is this extending your life???? To extend your life means to preserve the life you have now and this could only be achieved by cryogenesis or by pickling your body and brain in paraformaldehyde. If you don't have money to do either, come over to my laboratory and I can pickle you in salt and vinegar myself. I think you have some severe misunderstanding and misconceptions about what human 'cloning' really is John.
