Randolfe ( 11/02/2003, 07:46:46 )Having two parents is definitely better than one. Likewise, having a large family with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. is better still. One reason this is so is because not everyone in every family gets along. A jock father might have an intellectual son or daughter who has no interest in sports. I think you are probably a stronger person because you were raised in a single parent household. It is very interesting how male irresponsibility in minority communities leaves most child rearing to single mothers. It shows that "mother love" is what really holds our society together.
