That sounds a bit selfish. A child is their own person, not their parents. And being a different person, they would develop differently. If for no other reason then they don't want to be a copy of their mother, this child would likely take on activities their parent wouldn't enjoy. (I love my mother dearly, but I wouldn't want to be a copy of her) Outside of that, imagine school early on for this child. History has proven that humanity does not like people who are different. It wouldn't matter how normal the child looks, if anyone found out, there would be ridicle, or at least treated differently. And what about men that want to be single fathers? Would this 'option' just be shut off to them?
