Therapeutic cloning is supported by President Ford and President Carter and former First Lady Nancy Reagan.The National Academies of Science and National Institutes of Health support research into therapuetic cloning.ClinicalTrials.gov says there are 311 human clinical trials recruiting currently. A random collection of the conditions being investigated are:Ovarian Neoplasms adult Hodgkin's lymphoma; adult non-Hodgkin's lymphoma; Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Leukemia; Lymphoma; myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative diseases; Breast Cancer; hematopoietic and lymphoid cancer; kidney and urinary cancer; skin tumor limited stage small cell lung cancer; extensive stage small cell lung cancer bone metastases; brain metastases; liver metastases; Mediastinal Cancer; Testicular Cancer AIDS-Related Lymphoma childhood central nervous system germ cell tumor; adult central nervous system germ cell tumor Cervical Cancer; Vaginal Cancer Fanconi's Anemia localized tumors of the Ewing's family; metastatic tumors of the Ewing's family Hemoglobinopathies; Anemia, Sickle Cell; Hemoglobin SC Disease; Thalassemia; Thalassemia Major Graft Failure Diamond Blackfan Anemia Coronary Arteriosclerosis Fungus Disease Systemic Sclerosis Inherited Metabolic Storage Diseases Sickle Cell AnemiaAnd the list goes on. I don't know if the link below will work but if not, type in clinicaltrials.gov and do search on therapuetic cloning and you'll come up with current clinical trials.
