Thing is, couples might want to perfect their children. Here in the UK, the NHS health service is considering giving free scans for soon-to-be parents, which among other things (or so I think), it definitely sees if the unborn child has downs-syndrone. A woman who had downs-syndrome was interviewed on TV about this, and she made what I think was a very good point. She said that if that scan was available at the time of her birth, she probably wouldn't be there. That got to me quite a lot, now I can empathize a bit with the anti-abortionists. So would possible diseases be weeded out without killing the unborn child?
