It is interesting that the major group on the sidelines in the debate about outlawing all cloning at the UN consists of Islamic countries. In Islam eyes, the soul doesn't enter the body until one-hundred days after conception. Therefore, researchers there are not so embryo-centric in their research. Certainly, when it comes to therapeutic cloning, these countries do not want to be left behind. It is interesting that Saudi Arabia has one of the largest fertility industries in the world.
