Re: The Invisible Warlibfemme ( 05/26/2005, 23:57:28 )I expect it will be viewed as simply appalling by future generations. Like the middle ages, how could people be so ignorant and vicious to other people? There will be pictures of "old people" in history books to show the new generations what the disease of aging looked liked. They will read of the depression and sadness people felt at losing their physical strength, their health, their ways of life, jobs, etc. in retirement. They will find much of our literature difficult to empathize with or read since so much of it is imbued with thoughts of mortality, like reading holocaust diaries everyday. It will seem unbelieveable to them, and they will stoutly claim that if they had lived in our times they would never have put up with it! The inexperienced are always so naive. But I devoutly wish for the day when no one can understand how anyone would put an obstacle in the way of genetic therapy. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
