Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: Re:costs and benefits

I thank you for your compliment on my writing skills, and "poetic flare" as you put it. And I agree that your statements are valid. Perhaps the day I wrote my first posting I was in a bad mood, or having a rough day, but generally, I am an open-minded person. I do have views on cloning that will never change, and I assure you that these aren't due to my sibling, because I had these views long before they passed away. However, I signed onto this website to see both sides of the issue. I really don't believe my mind will ever fully be swayed to support cloning practices, but I am willing to try to understand other viewpoints. Just as I think you should be willing to understand my views. I live in a very uniform city, there's really not much diversity to be found. Perhaps that is why I seek out such things, as this message board for a part of my education. I am not against people prolonging their lives, but as a part of my belief in God, I don't really hold much value in my life on Earth. There is an eternity in Heaven to look forward to, so why should I spend anymore time here than I have to? I guess that is my outlook on things. I don't expect you to completely grasp my beliefs, or why I think the way I do, I'm just asking that you try. You can argue as much as you'd like to that my "religion" is false, but you would never be able to convince me, because it isn't word of mouth, or book that has led me to Christ, it was personal experience, and I don't think that you can argue that. The foundation of the country America, was God at one point. We've gotten away from that now though, but up until recent times I would say the guidelines set by religion worked very well. The same principles that state that cloning is contrary to God's will. I may be young, but I would like to believe that I am wise beyond my years, and I think I am wise enough to know that no matter what the opinion there will be pros and cons. There will always be those that agree and those that disagree. We have been given a mind, and are expected to use it, but with that comes the conflict when others choose to use it differently. You have been given a mind, and think your thoughts freely, as do I. No two humans will ever see completely eye-to-eye on an issue, but that's when we all must be willing to give an inch or two to make up the difference...
