ladyvirus ( 05/20/2005, 13:53:05 )excuse me... i dont get your point... in fact, i don t see that oocytes are the real obstacle keeping researchers from cloning... the real problem is maintaining all physiological conditions for this very delicate manipulation. another problem occurs as the nucleus (from the cloned indivual) that we should place in the oocyte's cytoplasm is an "old" one ... as after the several divisions he has had, he lost fragments of his chromosomes: their telomeres... and the lenght of those is what determine elderly.... so that s clone's problem: they re born old...
