Re: Playing God?erin ( 10/31/2003, 01:28:10 )It sounds like nonsense to me too. I beleave God gives us knowlege to improve on some things. Some people used to think giving drugs to women in labor was against God because in the Bible it says a woman will have pain in childbearing. As the mother of two even with drugs there is still pain enough. I cant beleave people still even to this day and age try to make a woman feel like she is less of a woman for choosing to have drugs to lessen the pain. My pet peeve before I had my six month old was people telling me that I should have natural childbirth and when I said " No I prefer to have an epidoral." be called a whimp. I dont feel like determining how much pain I want to have is whimpy and I deeply resented remarks like that. Doctors give epidorals every day and I think if it was unsafe they would not do them but I am getting off the subject, The bible gives us ten commandments to live by and it doesnt give us anything to go by to say cloning is wrong so we have to use our own judgement on that matter and cloning is such a complex subject, we have so many uses for it other than reproductive to say cloning is an abomination and ALL cloning must be against the law makes no sense from a religious or scientific stand point but that is just my opinion. One more thing if it is illegal it will still go on but noone will regulate it. People without scrupals will run the whole thing and that cant be good. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
