Re: Choosing to liveSC ( 11/15/2003, 12:15:41 )I knew about the parable because I was taught to sing a version of it years ago. It went something like:I cannot come, I cannot come to the banquet, don't trouble me now I have married a wife, I have bought me a cow I have fields and commitments that cost a pretty sum, Pray hold me excused, I cannot come. That was the part about people being too busy making money to go to heaven, as I was told.I do my best to give myself eternal life every day. I see this sort of thing as a dress rehearsal, I suppose. I would expect an offer of perfect happiness would come as such a shock that I wouldn't be able to accept it unless I'd practiced beforehand, so this is how I practice.I don't see any difference between prolonging my earthly life and being concerned with eternity because I see heaven and earth eventually being the same. There's a passage in Revelations about that, which says there will be no more death and so on.I'm sorry if you've taken a lot of flak for being a Christian.I've been getting interrupted while writing this; visits from relatives and such, and now I'm late for a meeting with some friends. I'll have to sing off for now. ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
