Like invitro fertilization it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. Therefore why would any couple who is fertile, that is able to have a baby the old fashion way, spend that kind of money to have a family? The answer is they don't. IVF is only used by people who have no other means of fertility. Likewise, no one is going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to have a baby by cloning unless they seriously want one.It is natural conceptions that produce unwanted babies, not cloning.Therefore, how many children should a couple be allowed to have by cloning? As many as they can afford and want to raise and love. Other than that it is nobody elses business.There are 60 million identical twins today in the world. They have no impact on human gene pool. A few thousands more in the form of cloned babies would also have no impact. There should be no restriction of cloning. We already have laws that protect natural children from child abuse and neglect. Those same laws apply to any child, regardless of how it is conceived.How would a doctor ever know that a clone individual was cloned unless he told him? Can a doctor now tell if someone is an indentical twin if only one walks into his office? Can you automatically tell if the person next to you in a restaurant or working in an office has an identical twin brother somewhere? The same with cloned children. When they grow up they should be allowed to have as many children by cloning as they can afford and love.
