Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: Should we ban cloning?

Marsha Brink ( 11/16/2003, 15:26:39 )

I respect peoples individual decisions. I also respect changes to make the world a better place, but my feeling on this whole issue, is watch the world around us, look at how people rely on technology so much in order to get them by, at one point-it makes life simpler and easier, at the other-it creates chaos on the roads with cell phones ringing, people rely on these things. Every new creation has its defaults, with cloning, we could save lives, we could create new lifes, and at the same, we may create something that may become one big bad movie, one of those movies that makes you wonder about life a little harder. Our nation claims we believe in god, if we clone-we should only use it for healthy organs, not making a new person who will automatically become a lab rat for scientists or later down the road has no human emotion or finds out its different and takes its revenge out on the man who made it. Who knows, is the risk worth taking? Put your issues aside and the benefits it will give to you and loved ones, are you in the right to take that much power in your own hands? To play the role of god? I'm not some fanatic, I am a believer in that we will self destruct ourselves if we dink around in the toys we shouldnt be tampering with. Big dipper is watching.
