Europe to Fund Cloning Research
libfemme ( 11/20/2003, 09:35:41 )The European Parliament has voted to give European Union funds to research using stem cells taken from human embryos. European Union ministers will decide next month whether to lift a moratorium that prevents EU cash from going to such experiments.This will be interesting because some of the member nations of the European Nation have laws in their own countries against such research.This is another case of that while US President Bush will not fund such research he is far from the only player in town. Money is out there and research will go forward privately and it appears also with public funds in other countries.
