Illegal Beings: Human Clones

Re: What's good about cloning?

SC ( 12/12/2003, 05:16:52 )

There's an essay with a list of reasons to clone in the home page of this website. There are also several responses to requests like yours and discussions of cloning issues in previous posts. Go to pages 2 and 3 in the forum and you will find good information there. Libfemme, Randolfe, Anonboards, and I have done a lot of pro-cloning posts, several of which can be found in posts with "project," "paper," or "debate" in the title. The starting point for a debate on cloning is that the "cons" tend to be false arguments that aren't really about cloning at all. Mostly they have to do with fear of change and taking responsibility. The problems that people fear will be created by cloning usually exist already. If there weren't such a high degree of misinformation and prejudice about cloning, there wouldn't even be any debates about it. It's like debating whether we should try to cure cancer or not.I hope you'll let us know how your debate went when it's done.
