New Jesery approves stem cell research

libfemme ( 12/17/2003, 07:29:20 )

The New Jersey Assembly approved a bill Monday that would permit stem cell research. The legislation will now go to the desk of Gov. James E. McGreevey, who has indicated he would sign a stem cell research bill. The bill includes a line expressly prohibiting human cloning. (the problem is no one, outside of biologists, seems to take the time to find out what these words means.)Stem cells are produced cells in the body which can divide and become specialized cells. They are also cells produced in the early days of a pregnancy that develop into specialized organs of a new individual.
