libfemme ( 12/13/2003, 13:55:54 )Britain's deputy ambassador Adam Thomson told the assembly "I wish to make clear that the United Kingdom would never be party to any convention which aimed to introduce a global ban on therapeutic cloning." In a year's time it is not likely that Britain will change its mind, nor the several other countries who favor therapuetic cloning.The UN has agreed to stop negotating a ban for an entire year insted of for 2 years. Big deal. That's the best the US could get.
