Re: Vitalism and the "soul"erin ( 12/26/2003, 21:46:35 )That is a most interesting comment you have made but I dont beleave in an invisable " soul" I beleave we are all living souls. Do you know the word "immortal soul" is not even in the bible? I do not beleave in a spook that rises out of our bodies when we die. That is utter nonsense and I could actually get into it more deeply from the bible as to why from a biblical standpoint it is nonsense but I dont have much time. I will say if you beleave we have an immortal soul then you would by comman sense have to beleave that God is a liar and the serpant in the garden was correct when he told Eve "Ye shall not shurely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good from evil. Genesis 3:4-5 God said we would die and the serpant said we would not, who lied? There are no texts in the bible to back up the idea of human beings even having an immortal soul but very many to the contrary. I saw on a show where they were saying that the soul had a weight, well if you think about it a tire weighs more with air in it when a person expels there last breath they would weigh less of course wouldnt they? ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
