Final comment on The Jesus ThiefGreat Reads Books LLC ( 12/09/2003, 12:33:23 )Thousands of lay readers and many scientists have reported finding The Jesus Thief to be a very worthwhile read. Two PhD cloning experts -- one eminent in the field -- have gone on record in praise of the book. Our only concern, and theirs, is to clarify that DNA from the Shroud of Turin couldn't actually be used to produce a clone of Jesus -- akin to clarifying that dinosaur eggs found today couldn't actually be hatched. Except for the extraordinary atmosphere that now exists (evidenced in part by this discussion), such an obvious fact would need no explanation, particularly since The Jesus Thief is, after all, a novel. Otherwise, the book's science and medical content has been favorably received by physicians and scientists who read it, reflecting the author's consultation with experts during the research. From a literary standpoint, The Jesus Thief has received the highest possible recommendation from The American Library Association, among others, in its review magazine, Booklist. No novel can please all readers, but for this and many other reasons we are extremely proud to have made this book available.GRB ![]() This Message is being posted for educational purposes, as well as for comment and criticism, by the visitors to the HumanCloning.org Foundation website (www.HumanCloning.org ).
