POSTION PAPER AGAINST BAN ON HUMAN CLONING: SIGN UP NOW!
moderator ( 05/09/2005, 01:53:28 )On March 17, Senators Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA) along with Representatives Dave Weldon (R-FL) and Bart Stupak (D-MI) introduced legislation in the US Congress that would ban all forms of human cloning. The Human Cloning Foundation plans to prepare a position paper decrying this form of legislation. We need to muster a critical mass of support for this effort. For this reason, we would like to hear from you supoorters of human cloning out there to let us know your thoughts on this matter. Please note that the bill does not ban the use of in vitro fertilization or other (non-cloning) medical procedures to assist fertility efforts in women in becoming pregnant and the bill does not offer any limitations to gene therapy, IVF practices and does not ban DNA, cell or tissue cloning other than with cloned human embryos.Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon.
