New Species Cloned
libfemme ( 12/26/2003, 01:54:34 )Yet another species of mammal has been cloned for the first time. Texas A & M have cloned a white tail deer. The fawn was born several months ago, but news of the birth was delayed until recent DNA analysis proved it was indeed a clone of an adult. One can't help wondering also if the news of the birth was delayed to ensure the fawn would survive infancy before news was announced. Texas A & M delayed news of the birth of cc, the first cloned cat, on Dec 22, 2001 until the animal had completed its shot series and its immune system was fully developed.
