Re: Questions With Cloning:response

Very interesting passage and far too many concepts to comment on at this moment however I will offer this. You mentioned (and I would tend to have agreed twenty years ago) that we were born in a World of Lies but I'm more incline to believe that we are a product of ignorance more than not. I had an interesting debate one day with some friends where we were discussing God and it's enfluence on this Planet. A Planet where it is seemingly so easy for man to cause premeditated suffering to another. There is no actual evidence of God in this World. But we concluded that if the Holy Spirit would manifest itself on this Planet for all to see, there would probably be immediate and sustained correctness throughout the World. In the meantime, religion is big business and pretty much nothing more. Politicians can and do stand before us and state with no uncertainty that they will take your money and spend it needlessly and we applaud their honesty and re-elect. I am also puzzled at your assertion that cloning would in fact be a physical & philosophical likeness of ourself. I was raised in Calif. then moved to Hawaii and now back in Calif again. If my clone were produced in Manhattan and lived its' whole life there, He would be an entirely different kind of person with very different ideals on life & living. I would admit however that as a musician, my clone would most likely have a propensity towards music. But my clone would most likely not share my thoughts or memories. From what we know about Cloning, it is simply creating a physical likeness not a philosophical likeness.
